Banking - SAP CRM and Banking Services
Project Requirements:
The client’s ICT team needed to create a new competence center focused on evolutionary AMS and project implementation in Finance and Operations within their complex SAP system landscape called Common Retail Financial System.
The main business managed in the system includes financial products related to auto leasing, financing, and loans. The involved SAP modules are: SAP Customer Relationship Management for master data management, Leasing and Collection, SAP Banking Services for financing, SAP ECC including FI-CAX for Contract Accounting, FI-AA, FI-GL & CO, Agency Business LAE, and SAP Bank Analyzer.
Approach:
To meet these needs, a team of functional and technical resources was established to support the client’s internal ICT in creating a Software Factory. The goal was to develop internal skills to manage evolutions and implement small to medium-sized projects. Initially, focus was on reverse-engineering the existing SAP solution, reconstructing technically the operations processes and complex integrations among the different SAP modules and instances. Over time, the team began developing solutions.
Solution:
Over a couple of years, the Software Factory grew significantly, increasing its operational capacity by 250%. Currently, the team manages more than 2,000 development days per year, covering a wide range of evolutions and implementation projects in Finance and Operations.
This development required not only strong technical and functional expertise but also efficient resource management, planning, and activity coordination. The complex integrations among SAP modules, including those for auto leasing and banking services, were managed flexibly and responsively to meet client needs. An agile development approach and constant focus on quality enabled excellent results, with the team able to meet business demands even in a continuously evolving context.
