Food - Release Strategies
Project Requirements:
Following the introduction of the SAP management system, the company requested the adoption of release strategies to optimize procurement flow management. The goal was to improve the efficiency of Purchase Requisition and Contract approval processes, increasing traceability and operation planning.
This reduced error risks, simplified processes, and enhanced reliability in supply and procurement management.
Approach:
Choosing DNC as a consultant for SAP implementation, the company reviewed the new MM model and designed the authorization procedure considering costs and solutions. Subsequently, the profiling best suited to optimize operational efficiency and system scalability was identified. This approach refined processes and improved overall operation management.
Solution:
Together with the client, targeted solutions were designed and implemented to optimize purchasing management, integrating SAP with specific operational needs. Two different release strategies were developed: one for Contracts and one for Purchase Requisitions. Each release flow was designed to meet specific operational needs, applying SAP best practices combined with careful customization to fully satisfy the client’s requirements.
The implemented solutions include a structured approval workflow adaptable to various organizational authorization levels. Approvals are managed via email notifications and SAP FIORI alerts, ensuring timely and smooth communication among responsible parties.
The project benefited from DNC’s expert and flexible approach, effectively guiding the process and collaborating with the client’s ICT team. This synergy achieved expected results, improving efficiency and transparency in procurement flows.
